چکیده

Garcinia paucinervis is an evergreen tree with high medicinal value. Due to its vulnerable reproductive capacity coupled excessive logging by humans, G. has become endangered species. In order protect this species effectively, we drew the complete chloroplast genome of and performed a series comparative analyses on neighbouring The size 157702 bp. genome, identified 130 genes, 56 RNA editing sites in protein-coding as well 241 simple sequence repeats (SSRs) 49 complex repetitive sequences. Comparative analysis some divergent sequences intergenic spacers, which can be used candidate markers for phylogenetic study. From adaptive evolution point view, branch-site model positively selected 5 most are involved ribosome biogenesis, protein synthesis other developmental processes. detected codon substitutions may associated adapt extreme habitat karst. addition, result supports previous phylogenomic studies taxa within rosids clade. ML revealed that mangostana was sister gummi-gutta, they formed diverging lineage Garcinia. above information great significance us understand lays foundations future conservation.

The complete chloroplast genome provides insight into the evolution and polymorphism of Panax ginseng

Panax ginseng C.A. Meyer (P. ginseng) is an important medicinal plant and is often used in traditional Chinese medicine. With next generation sequencing (NGS) technology, we determined the complete chloroplast genome sequences for four Chinese P. ginseng strains, which are Damaya (DMY), Ermaya (EMY), Gaolishen (GLS), and Yeshanshen (YSS). The total chloroplast genome sequence length for DMY, EM...

The Complete Chloroplast Genome of Banana (Musa acuminata, Zingiberales): Insight into Plastid Monocotyledon Evolution

BACKGROUND Banana (genus Musa) is a crop of major economic importance worldwide. It is a monocotyledonous member of the Zingiberales, a sister group of the widely studied Poales. Most cultivated bananas are natural Musa inter-(sub-)specific triploid hybrids. A Musa acuminata reference nuclear genome sequence was recently produced based on sequencing of genomic DNA enriched in nucleus. METHODO...
